Cattle Ultrasound Machine S1 OB Measurement Guidance
This article will introduce how to use S1 to perform cattle pregnancy test.
Probe selection
Cattle are large in size, so pregnancy examinations need to be performed in the rectum. In the third trimester, when the fetus becomes larger, the examination can be performed in vitro or in vivo. Therefore, when using S1 to perform pregnancy examinations on cattle, the recommended combination is: S1 + rectal probe or S1 + rectal probe + convex probe.
Machine settings
1. Select the animal species
After powering on, press the down arrow key, select "Other set", click "OK", and "Animal" will appear on the right side of the interface. Click the right arrow key to switch to "Bovino"
2. Scan with the probe until the gestational sac is found, click Freeze
3. Click OBC and select the parameters to be examined
4. Measure
5. Automatically display the pregnancy period
Inspection process
1. Probe grip
We can place the middle finger flat on the concave part of the probe, put the five fingers together to form a cone, and hold the probe with the index finger, ring finger, thumb and little finger to fix the probe to prevent it from sliding.
2. Use of coupling agent
Applying enough coupling agent on the probe can reduce the friction when entering the rectum and make the image clearer.
3. Probe insertion
During the detection process, we must move the probe step by step, move the probe slowly, and scan the right uterine horn, ovary, and left uterine horn in turn. When the fetus cannot be detected or the image is uncertain, move the probe slowly and repeatedly, from top to bottom, and then from bottom to top, and observe the ultrasound screen carefully.
